BPI Sports 1.M.R. OG Formula Preworkout
Video Transcription:
Jeff:
Hey guys, this is Jordan and Jeff from bestpricenutrition.com. Today we're going to be discussing BPI Sports' 1.M.R, the OG formula.
Jordan:Very exciting.
Jeff:
Yes. If you've been in the fitness and supplement kind of area for a long time like I have ... I'm much older than Jordan ... you remember 1.M.R. I think it was probably ... the biggest pre-workout that came out was probably NO-XPLODE, a long time ago, though I think a lot of people will say it was, I don't know if it was Black Powder, I think is the first pre-workout, but NO-XPLODE definitely was. And then the next one that really come out that blew people's minds, was 1.M.R. And BPI has been gone for a while, but they've come back and they've came back with their OG formula, which is 99% OG, but there's some extra.
Jordan:
Yeah.
Jeff:
Yes.
Jordan:
There's a few extra.
Jeff:
Yes, exactly, so we're going to discuss this product. It's a pre-workout supplement, 25 servings per container, only nine calories. You mix one scoop up about, I don't know, 15, 20 minutes before your workout and you're going to have a damn good workout. So we're going to go through what's in this product. It is a blend, which I know a lot of companies have gone away from ...
Jordan:
Sure.
Jeff:
... but I'm guessing they did it because the original was a blend as well. So again, that goes back to the OG formula. So the first blend is almost 10,000 milligrams. So a hefty dose.
Jordan:
That's a big dose.
Jeff:
The Pump Matrix. So can you give us an idea of what's in there and what it does for you?
Jordan:
So just going over the straight ingredients in the Pump Matrix, we have beta-alanine, which obviously is the most common in most pre-workouts. We have L-citrulline, silicate, L-citrullines. So we got two forms of citrulline. You have L-arginine, and then L-arginine AKG, two forms of arginine, betaine anhydrous and then L-tyrosine. So obviously beta-alanine, really good for endurance, really good for stamina. That's in most pre-workouts. You have two forms of citrulline, which essentially, that's going to be a precursor to L-arginine. It's going to improve blood flow. That's going to be really good for the muscle pumps. Same with L-arginine. And then we have the AKG form of L-arginine, which is, it's an old school form of arginine.
Jeff:
Yeah, you're mentioning that.
Jordan:
Yeah. I mean, I can't tell you the last time I've seen that form in a pre-workout. I know like, now foods used to sell that as like a sole arginine form, but they don't anymore. So it's really cool to see. So essentially what that is, it's a salt of arginine, the alpha-ketoglutarate acid, and again, it's very similar, pretty much just the same thing, improves the blood flow. And then we got betaine anhydrous in there, which also will help with blood flow and stamina. And then tyrosine, which is, it's a new tropic, it's an amino acid, but it's a new tropic. So that'll help pump, focus, all that good stuff.
Jeff:
Yes. Yeah. And again, this is a big blend, so we can't tell you what's each, but I'm guessing beta-alanine is usually what, 3.2 grams?
Jordan:
Yeah.
Jeff:
It's at the top. L-citrulline is next, which I'm glad because L-citrulline, you need a hefty dose of it.
Jordan:
For it to be effective, absolutely, yeah.
Jeff:
Exactly. So them having it at the top of the list is probably a good dose in there and then it makes its way down.
Jordan:
For sure.
Jeff:
So next is the OG Energy Matrix. So this is 575 milligrams. Again-
Jordan:
Pretty strong.
Jeff:
Yes.
Jordan:
Yeah, definitely strong.
Jeff:
Especially when caffeine's the first ingredient there. So I'm guessing it's maybe 200 to 300 milligrams?
Jordan:
I would put it probably, yeah, like 250, 300 for the caffeine.
Jeff:
Okay. And then you have two aminos ... I'm just calling it two amino.
Jordan:
Isoheptane.
Jeff:
Yeah, isoheptane, which is known as the MHA, which is one of our favorites and this definitely was not in the OG formula. This was not around 10, 15 years ago. This is something that's only been around a few years. But it's awesome for focus, it's awesome for intensity and just overall energy. So I love that they put that in there. They've also got the theobromine, which is ... it's kind of a milder stimulant, but it's very good for just everything from mood to just kind of, "Give me a little bit more focus." The geranium extract is also another stimulant that's popular. The guarana extract is another source of caffeine. You got Yerba Mate extract, another herbal source of caffeine.
Jordan:
Lot of sources of caffeine.
Jeff:
Yes. A lot of different types of, and I don't know if it may just ... some of it's quicker-acting, maybe some of it's a little bit, smooths it out. And then you got the schisandra extract ... helps the body resists stress, which of course your body's under stress when you're working out.
And lastly is a grape seed extract, which is very good for blood flow. So there's a lot in here.
Jordan:
There's a lot. Yeah. For being a blend there's a lot of ingredients in here.
Jeff:
Exactly, but it gives you really everything you're going to need from a pre-workout. You're going to get your pumps, you're going to get your blood flow, you're going to get your vascularity, you're going to get your focus, your mood improvement and your energy, of course.
Jordan:
Everything.
Jeff:
Yes. So guys, if you've heard about 1.M.R And you're like, "Hey, I want to know what this is about." It's back. It's available. If you're like me and took it a long time ago and you want to see how it compares, especially with that DMHA, definitely pick it up. It's available in some grape flavors, blue raspberry, sour gummy, and fruit punch. I definitely know that sour gummy wasn't one of the original.
Jordan:
No.
Jeff:
We didn't have that.
Jordan:
Usually fruit punch-
Jeff:
You guys have it easy now. Okay, we had to drink some terrible stuff. It was fruit punch, that's all there was.
Jordan:
Fruit punch was everything.
Jeff:
So. All right guys, hopefully you did enjoy this video. If you have questions about one 1.M.R, post them down below, we'd be happy to answer them for you.
