Can You Take Half The Dose Of A Prohormone

John:
What's happening guys? John and Jeff here with Best Price Nutrition. Check out the website at bestpricenutrition.com. We've got our prohormone show coming up on... I forget the date.
Jeff:November 15th.
John:
November 15th, Wednesday, 7 o'clock. So be sure to tune into that and we'll be answering all your prohormone questions.
Jeff:
And if you're watching this past that date, we'll have more shows.
John:
I shouldn't have said that. I know you hate time dating these, but in today's video we're going to be discussing a commonly asked question. We've been getting this one a ton lately, which is people asking if they can take half doses of their prohormones.
Jeff:
Yeah, exactly. So I'm not sure if we've been getting it more just because of the economy, people trying to save money or a lot of times I think it's also like, "I'm afraid to take the full dose, because it's going to hurt my liver or my kidneys or my organs."
John:
Yeah. I think probably both. I think people are trying to save some money and then new users as well.
Jeff:
Yeah. So the short answer is you can, but if you want the full effect from the prohormone, you should take the dosage that, for example here, that Hi-Tech recommends on the bottle. A lot of these are either... There's some that are one a day, which you should never chop those in half because there is a coating on it, which makes them so much more bioavailable in the body. So you definitely don't want to do that, but there's also the two and the three a days.
Again, it's something you can do, but you shouldn't expect to get the same results from taking a full dose and if you're going to run an eight-week cycle, you're going to invest time in lifting and your diet to hit these goals. The last thing you want to be doing is taking less than what is recommended.
John:
One other thing about that, I know the half-life in most of these is about 12 hours. I know that's what Hi-Tech told us. So the purpose you're taking one in the morning and one in the evening is you pretty much constantly have it through your system.
Jeff:
Yep, exactly.
John:
If you're taking a half dose, you got it for most of the day, then you got 12 hours without it, then you're taking another one.
Jeff:
Yes.
John:
So definitely going to diminish the results you're going to get.
Jeff:
Yeah, if you're taking three per day, try to do every six to eight hours or two per day every eight to 12 hours. Some people like to try to line it up so it's right before their gym workout because you do. I'm not sure which, Jordan here loves one of the products right before his workout, but yeah. I think it's that simple, I mean.
John:
I say the one exception of that sometimes, I don't know if we have it here. Sometimes we do recommend women, if they insist on taking Decabolin, do one tablet instead of two but besides that, you should try to take the recommended dose by Hi-Tech.
Jeff:
And then you reminded me. Some of them also have the standard dose and the max dose.
John:
Oh, yeah. Some are two a day, but you can take four a day, whereas others they strictly say don't exceed two a day.
Jeff:
Exactly, and I don't know if that's because maybe based on weight or if you just want to take it to the max dose and get more of it. As long as it says on the bottle and it always does, if you can take a bigger dose. I specifically do that with Turkesterone. Go ahead and do that, but minimum if you're a male, take the dose recommended on the bottom.
So hopefully that answers that question. I'm sure we'll have more about that and if you do, post them down below. John and I are here to answer these questions all week long and just remember all these prohormones and a whole lot more are available at bestpricenutrition.com. Thanks guys.
