Portal Sleep Supplement Product Overview
There's an all new sleep supplement called Portal which has been trending online recently, so in todays post we're going to be taking a look at the Portal Sleep Supplement, what it is, what the ingredient list looks like, what we think of it, and what people are saying about it online.
What is Portal Sleep Supplement?
Portal is an all new sleep supplement which aims to help users fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer and wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world. It aims to provide stress relief, an improved positive mood and even improved cognition. Portal comes in a powder form so you mix it into a drink before bed and it comes in an interesting and what sounds like a tasty Midnight Yuzu Chamomile flavor.
What Ingredients Are in Portal Sleep Supplement?
Portal contains a pretty brief and simple ingredient profile, we have 282mg of Magnesium which is great for relaxing the nerves, it's also a great supplement to take before bed to get relaxed and promotes restful sleep. The recommended clinical dosage of magnesium for sleep and relaxation is 200mg to 400mg so Portal has a good amount of magnesium. Portal also contains 2 grams of Glycine, an amino acid which is considered an inhibitory neurotransmitter meaning it has a calming effect on the brain, while a clinical dose of glycine is typically around 3-5 grams, I wouldn't call Portal under dosed as it's still a decent dose and working synergistically with the other ingredients should still do a good job of promoting relaxation and sleep. We then have a hefty 400mg dose of L-Theanine which is one of my personal favorite ingredients for sleep and relaxation as well as 50mg of Apigenin from Chamomile Flower Extract. Apogenin is a natural compound found in chamomile which is known to help reduce anxiety and promote relaxation to help you get ready for bed and drift off to sleep. one thing I really like about this formula is it lacks melatonin. While a lot of people love melatonin is a hormone so personally I prefer to avoid supplementing with it, also most sleep supplements contain much higher dosages of melatonin than I'm personally comfortable with taking.
Why Choose Portal Sleep?
Why choose Portal Sleep over other sleep formulas? Well for one, if you're a fan of Andrew Huberman, the ingredients in Portal Sleep are right in line with what Andrew Huberman said was his ideal sleep stack. Many will also love that Portal lacks melatonin. Melatonin is a hormone and many of us, myself included prefer to avoid taking Melatonin supplements. Even the man who discovered synthetic Melatonin has recommended people don't take it, it can potentially cause even worse sleep issues and mess up your bodies natural circadian rhythm. I also like that Portal is non habit forming and isn't as intense as many other sleep aids on the market which shouldn't be taken on a regular basis. And besides the effectiveness of Portal, I really like that they keep the product as natural as possible ie sweetened with Stevia a Natural Sweetener, flavored with natural flavors and they even use Annatto Seed Powder for color instead of chemical dyes. If you're looking for an all natural sleep aid that you can take nightly and that will deliver improved sleep give Portal a try!
