I'm excited about today's video. We've got an all new product called Pump Sauce.
Jeff:Love the name.
John:
Yeah, the liquid glycerol and liquid pump products seem to be kind of the hot new category of this year, at least the past couple months.
Jeff:
Yeah, I think we've reviewed, what, two or three of them already?
John:
Yeah, we did FSU Serum, Pump Syrup, which was another good one. We had Gorilla Mind Glycerol, Liquid Glycerol.
Jeff:
Yep, and the new one Pump Sauce.
John:
And Pump Sauce. Yeah, I saw this one on Instagram a couple of weeks ago. Hit them up. They were kind enough to send us two bottles, so we actually tried the Gummy Sharks, which eating gummies is right up my alley.
Jeff:
Yep, exactly.
John:
And what's kind of interesting about this one, it's more than just a typical glycerol. We'll go through the formula, but yeah, glycerol, citrulline, agmatine, and pink Himalayan salt.
Jeff:
Exactly. So it is. A lot of the ones we've tried before were just plain glycerol.
John:
Yeah. I think FSU Serum maybe has another ingredient there too, but-
Jeff:
Yeah, yeah. This definitely, it's non-stimulant which is good, so that means you can mix it with anything else. And I think we both last night took it.
John:
Yep.
Jeff:
We mixed it with a pre-workout, so we wanted to get the full taste of it, and you noticed your arms were-
John:
Did you do the one scoop or the two scoop?
Jeff:
I only did One. So two scoops is going to be 20 grams of glycerol.
John:
It's crazy.
Jeff:
I get concerned when I go up that high.
John:
Yeah, I remember when Pump Syrup first came out, and I thought 17, and I was like, "That's high." And I've noticed a couple other brands going even higher.
Jeff:
Yeah, but even with one scoop, the pumps were good. I did legs yesterday. Great pump in the legs. You did arms-
John:
Yes, so the-
Jeff:
... you noticed more pumps. You told me this morning.
John:
... the thing I noticed most was just muscle fullness. My biceps were swollen last night.
Jeff:
Yes. And you should expect that when you're getting 10.
John:
And you know what's weird? I don't know if it had anything to do with these ingredients, but when I was doing abs last night and whoever was doing abs before me had the incline sit-up thing propped up four weights higher than I normally do it and no effort whatsoever.
Jeff:
Oh, really?
John:
So maybe I was just having a good day. I was full of energy. Maybe this had something to do with it. But yeah, I had a good workout yesterday.
Jeff:
Yeah, I mean the citrulline can add some energy and stamina, but the glycerol may be as well. Let's break it down with the one cap and the two caps. And these are the caps guys. You don't need any extra.
John:
It's a pretty good serving.
Jeff:
Yeah, so it's a good serving size. Let's just do the full two caps here. So you get 80 calories. There's some calories involved in this, but you're getting 20 grams of glycerol and then citrulline malate, four grams. Okay dose.
John:
Yeah, it's probably actually maybe two and a half, three grams the way it breaks down.
Jeff:
Yes, exactly. I usually like a little bit more than that, but the other ingredients make up for it. The agmatine sulfates, which is 1.5 grams. That's pretty good dose. I usually do about a gram, and then I like that they put in the pink Himalayan salt.
John:
You love pink Himalayan salt.
Jeff:
I mean if you guys haven't ever taken a pre-workout or put some salt in your pre-workout, the vascularity at the gym is crazy, especially on the arm or shoulder day.
John:
I'd say more and more people are. I know you were adding it to the pre-workout before, but now it's almost standard in a lot of the newer pre-workouts.
Jeff:
Exactly, yes. But yeah, so and I just noticed your shirt.
John:
Pump, it's a fitting day, right?
Jeff:
It's a fitting day. Pumphub, yes, I like it. So yeah, so let's try it out. Like I said, we took this last night, but we both mixed it with something.
John:
Yeah, so I kind of wanted to see what it was like on its own without being stacked with something else heavy in pump ingredients. So I took it with Allmax A:Cuts, which is pretty much just a light caffeine and a little bit of thermogenics. So I say my review is kind of pure, at least from the pump angle, pure Pump Sauce.
Jeff:
I didn't put just a ton in here because we don't need [inaudible 00:04:02].
John:
We just want a taste, right?
Jeff:
Yeah, just-
John:
As we were walking out the door, so one worry with liquid glycerol in high doses is it can tend to go right through you. So on my way out the door, I actually stuffed my pockets with some of our nice two-ply toilet paper just because the gym's got one ply and I didn't need it. So that was a pleasant surprise.
Jeff:
Yes. And I can tell you I went to the gym as well at the same time you did last night. Didn't bring the extra toilet paper, but I didn't need it either. That was a good experience, so hopefully this is enough. This is the shark bites. And that's tasty. Yeah, I probably use a little bit more in there.
John:
It's got pretty strong even for being watered down, it's got a-
Jeff:
Yes. Yeah.
John:
strong flavor.
Jeff:
That is very good, but it's not thick. I mean it's easy to drink. You can notice it's still clear.
John:
And just about liquid glycerols in general, more bio-available and absorbable than the powder form. For anyone who has an issue with chalky pre-workouts, you're not going to get that chalkiness with the liquid products. You can stack this with another pre-workout, and then some of the pump pre-workouts, I mean some of them get really chunky, so you're not going to have a tub plumping up in there.
Jeff:
Yes. Yeah, exactly. And if you like this or whenever you take glycerol, you want to drink a lot of water. Don't just drink this much water with a whole scoop.
John:
Yeah, and go workout, yeah.
Jeff:
Get a big scoop because more water that more of that hydration that's going to hit those muscle cells, the more swole you're going to look. So definitely drink down that water, but yeah, anything else for this one?
John:
No. I mean, I said they got three flavors. They sent us two, so we tried the gummy sharks. They also got a watermelon marg, and the last flavor I believe is a strawberry lemonade. So I think we'll probably be bringing this stuff in, working on getting it in here. It's a newer product. We'll link to their site for now and we'll update the link down below to our page once we get it in stock here.
Jeff:
