TikTok's New "Cozy Cardio" Trend

TikTok's New "Cozy Cardio" Trend

Everyone loves diet and workout trends whether it's Keto, The 75 Hard Challenge, or The 12-3-30 Workout. TikTok has become a platform that's launched a lot of these health and fitness trends whether were talking about taking Slippery Elm for more vaginal wetness, drinking Chlorophyl Water for for detoxification and overall health, or the variety of fitness trends that have sprung up over the years like TikTok's 12-3-30 Workout where you walk on a treadmill for 30 minutes, at speed 3, with an elevation of 12.

Well we've recently learned of another new TikTok Workout, this one is called Cozy Cardio. So what is Cozy Cardio? Cozy Cardio to me seems to be pretending to workout without actually getting much out of your workout, kind of like these people who go spend an hour or two at the gym, but spend most of their time there selecting music, texting friends or just farting around on their phone as opposed to actually doing much working out. That said some TikTok Influencers claim to be dropping several pant sizes with their Cozy Cardio Workouts.

So what is Cozy Cardio you ask? Well typically when we think cardio we think about sweating, breathing heavy and intense workouts, Cozy Cardio is the exact opposite. The crowd behind the Cozy Cardio trend kick off their day by making their favorite morning drink, typically some type of fancy iced coffee, putting on some comfy clothes ie pajamas and slippers, and casually working out to their favorite podcast, Netflix show or morning talk show for 30-60 minutes at a casual pace.

Cozy Cardio was apparently created by Influencer Hope Zuckerbrow who kicked off this workout trend and is the self proclaimed Founder of the Cozy Cardio Club, however the trend has since picked up in popularity with many women on TikTok, Instagram and other social media platforms taking up this workout and further sharing it using the hashtag #CozyCardio.

So does Cozy Cardio actually work? Is it actually a good workout plan? Well the answer to that is both yes and no. If someone feels too intimidated to actually go to the gym and Cozy Cardio gets them doing some physical activity, I suppose that's a win. And Cozy Cardio is probably better than doing nothing at all, however there's definitely better workout plans and better uses of one's time than doing Cozy Cardio. If you're looking for a low impact exercise that's easy for beginners to do, simple to do, but will still have somewhat of an impact on your health and fitness checkout another popular TikTok Workout Routine called the 12-3-30 Workout
