CAN WOMEN TAKE PROHORMONES?

While bodybuilding and powerlifting have traditionally been male dominated sports, these days more and more women are becoming interested in and participating in physique competitions, bodybuilding competitions and powerlifting competitions. Everyone wants to get an edge, so we've also been seeing an uptick in women who are interested in taking prohormones and questions about women taking prohormones and how women should PCT following a prohormone are questions which are commonly asked of us. So in today's post we're going to be addressing a few questions about prohormone use among women, but particularly we wanted to discuss the use of Post Cycle Therapy or PCT supplements for women.

So first off, can women take prohormones? Yes women can take prohormones. We do typically try to steer women to a non-hormonal and more natural option, things like Turkesterone, Laxogenin and Epicatechins, many women are interested in taking prohormones or are chasings results that can't be achieved with natural muscle builders. If that's the case there's typically two prohormone supplements we recommend to women, the first being Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals Anavar, and the second option being Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals Decabolin. When woman are taking prohormones we recommend they begin with half the dose of men, so one tablet per day as opposed to two tablets per day. Now this brings us to the topic of PCT's.

DO WOMEN NEED TO TAKE A PCT AFTER A PROHORMONE CYCLE?

A PCT, short for Post Cycle Therapy, is a supplement taken following a prohormone cycle. Prohormones by definition are hormonal supplements and following a prohormone cycle it can cause estrogen levels to rise and testosterone levels to fall a bit or to be suppressed. The purpose of a PCT is to mitigate the negative side effects of a prohormone and to help restore the body to homeostasis and helping the body transition to normal testosterone levels, while at the same time helping to support cardiovascular health, organ health and in the case of men prostate health.

Many women wonder if they also need a PCT or post cycle therapy following a prohormone cycle, the answer is yes.

WHAT IS THE BEST PCT FOR WOMEN FOLLOWING A PROHORMONE CYCLE?

So we've established that women should take a PCT following coming off of a prohormone cycle, but which PCT is best for women? Should women take the same PCT's as men, something like Hi-Tech Arimiplex, Blackstone Labs PCTV or IML Advanced Cycle Support? There's actually a better option for women and something which is rarely considered or mentioned, Blackstone Labs Harmonize a female hormone balancing supplement which aims to balance hormone levels and weight, to support mood and libido and to help improve skin complexion. Women have different needs than men and while men need help following a cycle to balance testosterone levels, to inhibit estrogen and to support the prostate following a cycle, women have different needs. Blackstone Labs Harmonize features a Harmonize Blend which contains ingredients like Maca, Turmeric, Mucuna Pruriens, Epimedium Extract, Damiana Extract and DHEA among other ingredients to help balance hormone levels and which in turn will help restore the body to homeostasis following a cycle of Anavar or Decabolin.

HOW TO RUN A PCT FOR WOMEN

So women like men can run a 30 day or 60 day prohormone cycle. At the end of your 30 or 60 day cycle cease taking Anavar or Decabolin, at which point you'll begin taking Blackstone Labs Harmonize. To run Blackstone Labs Harmonize as a PCT at the end of your cycle begin taking 4 capsules per day, 2 in the morning with breakfast and 2 in the evening with dinner. Run Blackstone Labs Harmonize this way for 30 days at which point your post cycle therapy is completed. If you ran a 30 day cycle you can begin another cycle, if you ran a 60 day cycle you should take an additional 30 day break following your PCT at which point you can run another cycle.
