Trying the New Redcon1 Energy Drinks | Redcon1 Energy Drink Taste Test & Review

And today we got a sweet box in the mail from REDCON. Maddie already destroyed the unboxing, it's okay. It is the new energy drinks from REDCON. So these were announced not too long ago.

I think they started teasing the idea of them about a year ago. Didn't hear anything about them for a while, and then they dropped the REDCON1 Energy site. I know we've all been anxiously awaiting these to come out. Seems like more and more supplement companies and sports nutrition brands are starting to roll out energy drinks.

Yeah. Drinks and bars.

Yeah, the RAYS fantastic, probably one of the most popular drinks.

Yeah, definitely.

And I've been super excited to see what REDCON's come come out with here.

Yeah, it's pretty much all REDCON, the TOTAL WAR taste good. Their protein bars, all taste good. So this should, hopefully, be in line.

So we got a-

This box came with four koozie, shot glasses and then the drinks. So we have to figure out the order.

See what we got.

Probably sour blast.

We got Cali Splash, which looks to be a pineapple, apple, orange.

There's Sour Gummy Blast, which is obviously gummy bears.

We got a Freedom Frost, which is going to be like a Bomb Pop.

And then Vice City, which is pineapple coconut, strawberry?

Um-hum.

Pineapple, coconut strawberry, yeah.

Yeah. All right. I think the sours going to taint everything so let's do that one last. I don't care what the other order is. All right, we'll do Vice City and then it is, do you want to go off what's on the can, what's in that?

So let's see here. These are going to be zero calories, zero sugar. We got 200 milligrams of caffeine. We got some L-carnitine, alpha GPC, coffee beans. So I assume natural caffeine.

Seems like a ghost.

Pyridoxine, that's grain of paradise?

I believe so, yeah. So we had a little bit of fat burning in here as well. And 200 milligrams of green tea from coffee beans. So natural caffeine here. Oh, we've got everything on the side of the can here. 200 milligrams of alpha GPC, a gram of carnitine, a gram of taurine, and then B vitamins.

Yeah. Should be good, smells good.

What flavors is Vice City?

Oh yeah. It does smell good.

It's a good flavor.

I like that.

Not too sweet. Not too syrupy.

Yeah, I was about to say, not syrupy at all. Pretty light, not in a bad way though.

So we always rank these by level of carbonation. One through 10. I'd say very light.

Yeah, almost nothing.

Okay, I'd say two.

Really low.

Strength of flavor?

Seven.

Maybe seven, yeah.

Say seven and then level of sweetness.

Six.

I would say probably seven.

I think I found my new afternoon energy drink.

Yeah, we'll see. Which one's this orange...

This is orange, apple, pineapple. I imagine it's going to be somewhat similar to the Vice City, right?

Orange, apple, pineapple. I would think so. Ooh, that smells fucking good. Holy shit.

That smells delightful.

That's good. It's different.

Very mild flavor.

Yeah.

It smells very nostalgic of a childhood drink or something.

What is it?

I Don't know.

It just smell like apple juice.

Yeah, that's what it is.

Yeah. That one's good. I like that one more.

Do you really? See I think I like the Vice, they're both very good.

I like this one. I think I would get tired of coconut after a little bit though.

That one almost seemed like a little bit more.

Well, but I still like that one more than that one.

It depends. Some are hit, some are miss.

Same. Some are hit, some are miss.

My favorite one of all time was the 3D energy, red, white, and blue. And I think I over did it and ruined Bomb Pop.

Yeah. Wow, that smells really good. I like the smell of these ones, not the taste.

That's really good.

Ooh, that might be it.

I think normally with Bomb Pop, people go really heavy on the blue. And this I think goes really heavy on white.

Yeah. White cherry or whatever it is.

Is that what it is?

I don't know. It's blueberry, lemonade and cherry. I think that's what Bomb Pop is. I think the white's supposed to be lemonade.

I feel like that's what they went strongest.

Yeah, I want one more of this.

It's kind of like an Italian ice flavored one.

Yeah, it is. That one's good.

I still like that one better.

Yeah. Okay. This one level of carbonation.

Six.

Mid range, yeah.

Say six. Strength of labor?

Oh six, five. Five, six.

Okay. I would go the same. And level of sweetness?

More sweet.

Yeah. It's hard to compare once it's been a little bit now.

Tastes like an icy.

Yeah.

It's hard to tell. I say about six, seven.

Yeah, it does taste like an icy. All right.

Yes, sour.

I'm looking forward to this one. I really like the sour flavors.

So do I.

These shot glasses are cool.

I like them. Oh...

The smells are perfect. The smells exactly like gummy bear. Like you bit one in half. It's not sour, it's not bad.

A little gummy bear flavor. I feel like a lot of flavors just tastes like, they taste good, but it's just like a sugar water candy flavor.

It's okay. It's better than I thought it was going to be. But it's not sour and it doesn't really taste like gummy bears. It's just like a grape to me.

Okay. Now if we line these guys up, give me your 1, 2, 3, 4.

Mine would be a tie for these two. These are both really good.

There's no ties Brad, this is 1, 2, 3, 4.

All right. So the only thing we can agree on is this one's the worst.

And even though it's not terrible-

Look at that. You ready for your tailgate? You can bring your REDCON to drink your Four Lokos. I thought these were good though. Definitely going to be a good addition to the repertoire.

So we don't have these in yet. We literally just got this box today. I don't know when we're going to get them in probably the next couple weeks maybe at most.
